SEASONAL AGRICULTURAL WORKERS’ JOURNEY TURNED INTO A PHOTO BOOK
Photographer Servet Dilber followed the journey of seasonal agricultural workers, who only come to Turkey’s agenda with news of their deaths, and turned it into a photo book.
“Endless Harvest” witnesses the endless journey of seasonal agricultural workers, whose population reaches 3.5 million in Turkey, who make a living by working away from their homes for at least 6 months on land that does not belong to them.
For his photo book, photographer Servet Dilber participated in field research as part of the “This Job is Not Child’s Play” project of the Support to Life Association to prevent child labor in seasonal agriculture. Throughout 2014, he photographed a total of 12 cities, 23 districts and 8 different harvests. Dilber also documented the living/working conditions of 4 families living/working with their neighbors, which he followed independently of the research team.
